Terms of Service

Last Updated: September 6, 2026

Welcome to IELTS Self Study. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the IELTS Self Study website, services, learning materials, practice tests, quizzes, and other features available through our website (collectively, the “Services”).

By accessing or using IELTS Self Study, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use our Services.

1. About IELTS Self Study

IELTS Self Study provides online IELTS preparation and self-study resources, including practice tests, quizzes, vocabulary and grammar resources, learning materials, feedback, and other educational content.

IELTS Self Study is an independent educational service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to IELTS, the British Council, IDP Education, or Cambridge University Press & Assessment.

“IELTS” is a trademark of the respective trademark owners. Our use of the term is solely to describe the examination for which our educational resources are designed.

2. Eligibility

You must be legally permitted to enter into an agreement in your country or jurisdiction to use our Services.

If you are under the applicable age of majority, you should use the Services only with the involvement and permission of a parent or legal guardian.

By using our Services, you confirm that the information you provide to us is accurate and that you have the right to use the account or payment method associated with your account.

3. User Accounts

Some features may require you to create an account.

You are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Keeping your login credentials confidential.
  • All activity that takes place through your account.
  • Not sharing your account with other individuals unless expressly permitted by your subscription plan.

You should notify us promptly if you believe that your account has been accessed without your permission.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or are used in a manner that may harm the Services or other users.

4. Use of the Services

You may use IELTS Self Study for personal, non-commercial educational purposes, subject to these Terms.

You must not:

  • Copy, reproduce, distribute, sell, or commercially exploit our learning materials without written permission.
  • Share Premium account credentials with other people.
  • Upload, transmit, or distribute malicious software or harmful material.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our website, systems, accounts, or databases.
  • Circumvent subscription restrictions, security measures, or access controls.
  • Use automated systems to scrape, copy, or systematically collect our content without permission.
  • Misrepresent your identity or use the Services for fraudulent purposes.
  • Use our Services in a way that violates applicable laws or regulations.

5. Educational Content and IELTS Preparation

The materials provided through IELTS Self Study are intended to support IELTS preparation and self-study.

Our practice questions, estimated scores, feedback, explanations, and other educational materials are not official IELTS test results and should not be treated as a guarantee of performance in an official IELTS examination.

Actual IELTS test questions, scoring, difficulty, and results may differ from those provided through our Services.

Your results will depend on many factors, including your current level of English, preparation, study habits, test conditions, and performance on the day of the examination.

6. AI-Assisted Features

Some features of IELTS Self Study may use artificial intelligence or automated systems to generate questions, provide explanations, analyse responses, assess writing or speaking practice, or provide educational feedback.

AI-generated or automatically generated content may occasionally contain errors, inaccuracies, inappropriate suggestions, or incomplete information.

You should use automated feedback as a learning aid rather than as a substitute for an official IELTS assessment or qualified teacher’s advice.

Where appropriate, IELTS Self Study may modify, improve, replace, or discontinue AI-assisted features without prior notice.

7. Premium Subscriptions

Certain features of IELTS Self Study may require a paid subscription (“Premium Subscription”).

Before purchasing a Premium Subscription, you will be shown the applicable price, subscription period, and included features.

Access to Premium features is generally limited to the subscription period associated with your purchase.

We may offer different subscription plans from time to time. The features, duration, and price of each plan may vary.

We reserve the right to change subscription plans or pricing for future purchases. Any changes will not affect a subscription period that you have already paid for, unless otherwise required by applicable law.

8. Payments

Payments may be processed through third-party payment providers.

By making a purchase, you agree to provide accurate payment and billing information and confirm that you are authorised to use the payment method provided.

We do not generally store complete payment card details on our own systems. Payment information may be processed by the relevant third-party payment provider in accordance with its own terms and privacy policy.

9. Refunds and Cancellations

Refund eligibility depends on the subscription or product purchased and applicable law.

Unless otherwise stated at the time of purchase or required by applicable law, payments for digital educational content and subscriptions may be non-refundable once access to the purchased content has been provided.

If you believe that you have been charged incorrectly or have experienced a technical problem that prevents you from accessing a paid service, please contact us so that we can review the issue.

We may provide refunds, credits, or other remedies at our discretion where appropriate.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue particular features or parts of the Services when reasonably necessary.

13. Third-Party Services

Our website may use or connect to third-party services, including payment processors, hosting providers, analytics services, authentication services, AI providers, or other technology providers.

These third-party services may have their own terms and privacy policies.

We are not responsible for the policies, availability, security, or performance of third-party services that are outside our control.

14. No Guarantee of IELTS Results

IELTS Self Study does not guarantee that using our Services will result in a particular IELTS band score, test result, university admission, visa outcome, employment opportunity, or other educational or professional outcome.

You are responsible for deciding how to use information provided through the Services.

If your access is terminated because you have violated these Terms, you may not be entitled to a refund for any unused subscription period, subject to applicable law.

18. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

When we make changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the beginning of this page.

Your continued use of IELTS Self Study after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms, to the extent permitted by law.

19. Privacy

Your use of IELTS Self Study is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, store, and protect personal information.

Please review our Privacy Policy before using the Services.

20. Governing Law

These Terms will be governed by the applicable laws of the jurisdiction in which IELTS Self Study is legally established, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the appropriate courts, subject to any mandatory consumer protection rights that apply to you.
